BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Social Work Program will host a brown bag workshop "Identifying and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect" noon-1 p.m. Friday, April 11, at Heritage Hall, Room 121, 1401 University Blvd.

The workshop will examine the issue of abuse and mandatory reporting regulations. The guest speakers will be Angela Lacy, assistant director of child welfare for Jefferson County Department of Human Resources (DHR) and Sharon McGinnis, a DHR program specialist. Social workers can earn one continuing education unit (CEU).
