The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures will offer the class “Spanish for Health Professionals” during the 2003 fall semester.

BIRMINGHAM, AL — The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures will offer the class “Spanish for Health Professionals” during the 2003 fall semester.

Spanish for Health Professionals is aimed at students in the health professions and professionals in the community who want to learn conversational Spanish and the technical and medical terminology needed to communicate with patients. In addition, students will learn about the Spanish culture.

Classes will be held 12:20 to 1:10 p.m., each Monday, Wednesday and Friday during the fall semester in the Humanities Building, Room 431, 900 13th Street South. Students can earn three hours credit.
