The center provides a “seal of quality” for consumer health information resources.

BIRMINGHAM, AL — The UAB Health System’s Office of Marketing Communications has been recognized for outstanding achievement for consumer health information in the National Health Information Awards Program of the Health Information Resource Center. The center provides a “seal of quality” for consumer health information resources.

Entries won a gold award for television with the 60-second spot “Healers;” silver awards for the CD-ROM “You and Prostate Cancer,” and for ehealth magazine’s “Appointment With;” bronze awards for ehealth magazine, the magazine ad “Infertility Testimonial” and the HealthCheck Event; and merit awards for the Heart Answers newsletter, the Heart Answers Program and “A Partnership for Life,” a booklet summarizing the health system’s first five years.
