BIRMINGHAM, AL — The University of Alabama at Birmingham Health System has been recognized for outstanding achievement for Web site content development at the Health Information Resource Center’s World Wide Web Health Awards Program. The program seeks to provide a “seal of quality” for electronic health information.

The UAB Referring Physician Portal received the Bronze Award in the professional division. The portal was developed by Dr. Julius E. Linn, director of the Office of Medical Publications, and maintained by technical writer Mary Collins.
