Tonight, Monday, May 24, President Bush will outline how the U.S.-led coalition in Iraq will hand over power to the new Iraqi government. University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) communication studies Professor Larry Powell, Ph.D., is available to provide analysis of the speech.

     

WHO:

  

Larry Powell, Ph.D., is a pollster and an expert on how politicians communicate with the public. He is co-author of the book Political Campaign Communications: Inside and Out (2002). In addition, Powell has worked as a press secretary, speechwriter and communications consultant for dozens of political candidates. Powell teaches in the UAB Department of Communication Studies.
