“Not Just the Blues: The Nursing Perspective and the Community Response to Depression in Young Women” will be the topic of this year’s Nurse Scholar Day Luncheon hosted by the UAB Center for Nursing Research and Oasis, A Women’s Counseling Center. Ann R. Peden, D.S.N., professor of nursing at the College of Nursing at the University of Kentucky, will present the talk.

Peden, a certified psychiatric-mental health clinical specialist, teaches graduate psychiatric-mental health nursing at the University of Kentucky and practices at St. Joseph Behavioral Medicine Network in Lexington, Kentucky. She is a nationally renowned and respected researcher and author for her work focusing on depression and woman. Peden received her doctorate of science in nursing degree from UAB.
