University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Associate Professor of French Catherine Daniélou, Ph.D., has received the 2004 Prix d’Excellence Award from the Alabama chapter of the American Association of Teachers of French (AATF).

BIRMINGHAM, AL — University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Associate Professor of French Catherine Daniélou, Ph.D., has received the 2004 Prix d’Excellence Award from the Alabama chapter of the American Association of Teachers of French (AATF).

The Prix d’Excellence Award honors individuals who demonstrate dedication to serving French teachers, students of French, and French and Francophone culture in Alabama and outside the state. Daniélou received the award at the joint meeting of the Southern Conference on Language Teaching, the Alabama Association of Foreign Language Teachers and the Alabama AATF in Mobile on March 20.

Daniélou is a native of France. She has taught in the UAB Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures since 1990.
