University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) sociology professor Jeffrey E. Hall, Ph.D., M.S. P.H., has received the 2004 Conference USA Award for Excellence in Teaching.

BIRMINGHAM, AL — University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) sociology professor Jeffrey E. Hall, Ph.D., M.S. P.H., has received the 2004 Conference USA Award for Excellence in Teaching.

The award was presented in March at Bartow Arena. The award included a $500 cash prize.

Candidates for the award are nominated and selected by the student athletes. Hall, a native of Birmingham, is an assistant professor in the UAB Department of Sociology where he teaches introductory sociology, social psychology and medical sociology. He has been a member of the faculty since 2003.
