The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Social and Behavioral Sciences offers one of the top health policy/management specialties in the nation within its master of public administration program, according to the 2002 U.S. News & World Report ranking of graduate schools.

BIRMINGHAM, AL — The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Social and Behavioral Sciences offers one of the top health policy/management specialties in the nation within its master of public administration program, according to the 2002 U.S. News & World Report ranking of graduate schools.

UAB ranked 14th among masters of public administration programs with a specialty in health policy and management. UAB tied with the University of Chicago, the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The rankings were based on a survey by U.S. News and World Report of selected faculty in all masters in public administration programs throughout the nation.

The UAB Department of Government and Public Service offers, in conjunction with the School of Public Health, the joint master in public administration/master in public health degree. UAB’s master of public administration program is ranked 65th (tie) in the nation by the magazine.
