The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Small Business Development Center will hold a "Starting Your Business" session 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Friday, August 8, at the center, 1055 S. 11th St., Room 202. The session, led by David Ramp, covers a variety of topics, including creating a business plan, marketing and financing. No Fee. $15 covers materials, and parking is free. To register, call 934-6760 in advance. The SBDC is a member of the Alabama Small Business Development Consortium and sponsored by the UAB School of Business and SBA.
