Ruby Okora of the UAB Hospital Beauty Shop will present the UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center’s first session of “Look Good…Feel Better,” on Monday, April 26 at 2 p.m. at the Kirklin Clinic®, and the fourth Friday of every month thereafter.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Ruby Okora of the UAB Hospital Beauty Shop will present the UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center's first session of "Look Good...Feel Better," on Monday, April 26 at 2 p.m. at the Kirklin Clinic®, and the fourth Friday of every month thereafter.

The program utilizes volunteer cosmetologists to teach women cancer patients how to cope with skin changes and hair loss from cancer treatments by using products donated by the cosmetic industry.     .

The cosmetic kits provided at the group sessions are available in shades to enhance all complexions. The kits are free and have an estimated value of $250. Women also learn ways to disguise hair loss with wigs, scarves and other accessories.
