BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Singing actors are invited to audition for the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Opera production of Mozart's "The Magic Flute," Tuesday, Sept. 30, and Thursday, Oct. 2, in the UAB Hulsey Center, 950 13th St. S.

The auditions will be held in the evenings both days at the center. Auditions are open to all university students, faculty and staff and to the greater Birmingham community. Sign-up times will be posted at the Hulsey Center Room 249.

For auditions, please prepare one memorized Mozart song or aria, and bring a copy of the sheet music for the accompanist, which will be provided.

Performance dates for UAB's production of "The Magic Flute" are March 19-21, 2009. The opera will be performed in English.
