UAB political communication expert Larry Powell, Ph.D., is available this afternoon to provide expert commentary on today's announcement by Sen. John McCain that he will suspend his campaign to return to Washington D.C., to focus on the economy. McCain is calling on Sen. Barack Obama to do the same.
Powell is a professor in the UAB Department of Communication Studies and can discuss the strategy behind the announcement and what impact it will have on voters and the campaign.
