UAB political scientist Holly Brasher, Ph.D., is available to provide expert commentary on the failure of the $700 billion bailout plan in the House, the Senate plan, congressional leadership, congressional behavior and how that behavior could shape public opinion.
Brasher is an assistant professor in the UAB Department of Government. Her research focuses on the relationship between members of Congress and the public. She also studies the leadership efforts of Congress in comparison with the president and the way mass media facilitates or hinders the leadership in both institutions.
