BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - UAB's (University of Alabama at Birmingham) Comprehensive Stroke Center will hold a free Stroke Screening and Awareness Day on Tuesday, Oct. 28 at the Bessemer City Hall, 1800 3rd Ave. North. The screenings will run from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Participants can get blood pressure screening and ultrasound examination of the carotid and transcranial arteries. Individual counseling will also be available.
