BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Epsilon Phi Chapter of Pi Kappa Phi at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) has been nationally honored as a Champion Master Chapter.

The chapter also received two national Seven Objectives Awards for Achievement in the Seven Objectives of Chapter Excellence: the Joel Sewell Intramural Cup for most outstanding achievement in intramurals and the Altruist Award for most outstanding chapter fundraising per man.

The chapter's awards were recognized in the fall 2008 edition of Star & Lamp magazine, the national magazine of Pi Kappa Phi.

The honors are significant, said UAB Assistant Vice President for Student Life Andy Marsch.

"For a chapter to receive three national awards is remarkable," Marsch said. "We are very proud of them for this recognition."
