The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) presents its 8th annual International Bazaar this month. The UAB International Bazaar promotes international understanding and cultural awareness on campus and in the Birmingham community. The event is just one of several events planned during UAB Community Week, Jan. 25-31, which is an annual celebration of UAB's diverse community.

 The UAB International Bazaar features exhibits showcasing arts and crafts and information about specific countries. Students and members of the Birmingham community present musical performances and folk dances.  The UAB International Bazaar is presented by the UAB International Scholar and Student Services and UAB Community Week.

The UAB International Bazaar featured performances by Gaelic piping by Stephen Giles, Haitian folk songs by Junior Bazile, "World Drums" by John Scalici of Get Rhythm, and the Nashville Irish Step Dancers of Birmingham.
