A computer science pioneer who was the first female to be named both an A.M. Turing Award winner and an IBM Fellow has canceled a scheduled lecture at UAB.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - A computer science pioneer who was the first female to be named both an A.M. Turing Award winner and an IBM Fellow has canceled a scheduled lecture at UAB.

Frances E. Allen will not lecture 11-12:30 p.m. Monday, April 6, in the Hill University Center Auditorium, 1400 University Blvd., Birmingham.

An announcement will be made when the event is rescheduled.
