The UAB (University of Alabama at Birmingham) Center for Aging will host the 2009 Annual Investigators Meeting of the Resource Centers for Minority Aging Research April 20-21 at the Doubletree Hotel.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -  The UAB (University of Alabama at Birmingham) Center for Aging will host the 2009 Annual Investigators Meeting of the Resource Centers for Minority Aging Research April 20-21 at the Doubletree Hotel.

Marie Bernard, deputy director of the National Institute on Aging, will give a keynote address on "Improving Health Among Minority Older Adults Through Research."
The meeting also will feature presentations on health disparities research conducted by leading national investigators.

The meeting will conclude on April 21 at the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute with a bioethics workshop by Stephen O. Sodeke, Ph.D., National Center for Bioethics in Research and Health Care, Tuskegee University.
