The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Black Student Awareness Committee will host a special event to welcome students to campus at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25 in the UAB Hill University Center, Great Hall, 1400 University Blvd. The event is designed to bring administrators, university staff members and new and current students together.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Black Student Awareness Committee will host a special event to welcome students to campus at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25 in the UAB Hill University Center, Great Hall, 1400 University Blvd. The event is designed to bring administrators, university staff members and new and current students together.

During the program, administrators will offer students tips and best practices for success in college. The event also will feature a "Unity Step" performance by the UAB National Pan-Hellenic Council and other entertainment by UAB students.

A social networking session will be held after the program so that students can talk with administrators, staff, upper classmen and graduate and professional students. Refreshments will be served.
