The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) has named C. Michael Brooks, Ed.D., as professor emeritus in the schools of Health Professions and Medicine.

 

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) has named C. Michael Brooks, Ed.D., as professor emeritus in the schools of Health Professions and Medicine. The appointment was made by the University of Alabama System Board of Trustees at its Sept. 18 meeting.

Brooks joined the faculty in 1975, and he served in a variety of leadership positions in the schools of Health Professions and Medicine, the Department of Nutrition Sciences and the Lung Health Center.

Brooks was named a senior scientist in the Comprehensive Cancer Center, Lung Health Center, Clinical Nutrition Research Center, Minority Health and Health Disparities Research Center, Center for Outcomes Effectiveness and Research, Center for Health Promotion, and the Comprehensive Arthritis, Musculoskeletal and Autoimmunity Center.
