Photo Op: UAB Medical Students Partner With Samford Pharmacy Students to Offer Community Health Fair

Equal Access Birmingham, UAB’s medical student group devoted to improving health care to those in need, will partner with students from Samford University’s McWhorter School of Pharmacy to conduct a community health fair.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Equal Access Birmingham, UAB's medical student group devoted to improving health care to those in need, will partner with students from Samford University's McWhorter School of Pharmacy to conduct a community health fair. 

The event will be Saturday, Feb. 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at CVS Pharmacy, 220 Gadsden Hwy., Birmingham

The screenings are free and provided on a first-come, first-served basis.  Services include screenings for blood pressure, blood glucose, bone density, cholesterol and obesity.  Educational materials and referrals for further treatment will be provided.
