Connie White-Williams, PhD, RN, FAAN, Director of the Center for Nursing Excellence in University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Hospital, has been selected by the American Society of Transplant Surgeons and the Advanced Transplant Provider (ATP) Committee to receive the 2015 Advanced Transplant Provider Award.White-Williams earned her master of science in nursing and her PhD from the UAB School of Nursing and is an adjunct instructor for the School, teaching in the master's of science in nursing program.
The Advanced Transplant Provider Award recognizes an individual's dedication to advancing clinical practice through translation of scientific information, development of standards and clinical mentoring. The award will be presented during the Recognition Awards Presentation Ceremony and Reception Saturday, January 17, 2015.
