Jablonski-Jaudon is offering concrete ways for caregivers and their families to enjoy holiday traditions without triggering dementia-related behaviors.
The Sandwich Generation Series is a free lunch-time series designed to help members of the UAB and Birmingham community with eldercare concerns and challenges. It is sponsored jointly by The Office of Clinical and Global Partnerships, UAB School of Nursing and UAB Employee Assistance.
The 30-minute talk, which is being repeated twice during the lunch hour to make it convenient to attend for UAB employees and others, is geared toward the 47 percent of middle-aged adults who find themselves supporting an aging parent while caring for their own children – the Sandwich Generation – though everyone is invited to attend.
UAB School of Nursing is nationally recognized for its commitment to caring for older adults through its selection as a National Hartford Center for Geriatric Nursing Excellence.
