Addressing Violence, Trauma in the Health Care System
Dr. Campbell, who also holds a joint appointment in the Bloomberg School of Public Health at Johns Hopkins, has been conducting advocacy policy work and research on violence against women since 1980, has been the principle investigator of 12 major research projects, and has published more than 225 articles and seven books. She is an elected member of the Institute of Medicine/National Academy of Science, member ofthe Board of Directors of Futures Without Violence, received the Sigma Theta Tau International Research Award in 2011 and is Co-Chair of the IOM Global Violence Prevention Forum.
The Dr. Jean A. Kelley Endowed Lectureship was established in 1989 to honor the School's retiring Associate Dean for Graduate Studies. Dr. Jean Kelley left an enduring legacy: pioneering the first doctoral program in the Southeast, carrying the School's master's program to outlying communities, and educating nurses to aspire to the highest levels of achievement.
