Jeremy Jordan, MSN, CRNP, CCRN, CPNP-AC, CNE, a two-time University of Alabama at Birmingham graduate and instructor at the UAB School of Nursing, has been awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the Alabama League for Nursing. Jordan’s career as a nurse and nurse practitioner has focused on caring for children in intensive care, as well as their families.
Jordan is the specialty track coordinator of the Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Track for the UAB School of Nursing, educating future clinicians and leaders who will specialize in care for children. The scholarship from ALN will go toward supporting Jordan in his doctoral research.
“I am grateful for the funding this scholarship provides and recognition from the ALN,” said Jordan, who is pursuing a PhD in Nursing from UAB. His research focus is on pediatric traumatic brain injury, and he maintains a practice in the Pediatric ICU at Children’s of Alabama.
Jordan earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Health Care Administration from in 2011 and graduated from the Accelerated Masters of Nursing Pathway (AMNP) in 2014. Jordan also presented at the 2021 ALN annual conference, held virtually in March.
