Dr. Andrew Pucker has been named a Fellow of the Scleral Lens Education Society (SLS). Fellows of the Scleral Lens Education Society are comprised of optometrists, ophthalmologists, and Fellows of the Contact Lens Society of America who have proven themselves in the field of scleral lens fitting.
The SLS teaches contact lens practitioners the science and art of prescribing scleral lenses. The SLS supports public education that benefits and availability of scleral lenses.
“It’s an honor to be a Fellow of the Scleral Lens Education Society,” said Dr. Pucker, Assistant Professor at the UAB School of Optometry. “I have always enjoyed fitting specialty lenses, and I think that it’s great to be able to learn from trend setters in the field.”
Dr. Pucker will not only be a Fellow of the SLS, but he will also be recognized as a Certified Scleral Specialist.
