Online submission for Equipment Disposition Forms starts Aug. 30

Beginning Aug. 30, all Equipment Disposition Forms (EDF) will be submitted online. The new form and instruction guide will be accessible through the EDF app on the myUAB portal and can also be found on the Financial Affairs website. The EDF will be routed for approvals through Adobe Sign. Once final approval is granted, you will be able to access the form in your Adobe Sign account.

All capital equipment/assets are tagged and inventoried. The online EDF is used to update our records for any of the following situations: move/transfer, trade-in, stolen items, scrapped/cannibalized items, release of ownership, donation, transfer or any other scenarios not covered by these transactions. Maintaining accurate records is essential for our inventory process, which is subject to audits.

For surplus property, please use the Surplus Property System (SPS). More information and the login can be found here: SPS Login and Information. Please remember that all items purchased with state funds must be sent to the Surplus Warehouse and auctioned in a public auction. The disposal of UAB property is closely audited.
