Fundraising, gift-acceptance guidelines revised

policy procedureUAB’s Fundraising Policy and Gift Acceptance Guidelines governs all UAB fundraising and development efforts and establishes oversight of such activities by the Office of the Vice President for Development and Alumni. 

The purpose of the policy is to maximize the university’s opportunities for success and ensure the institution and its priorities are properly represented in all appeals for support. 

The previous version of the policy, approved in 2001, has been updated — with considerable and constructive input from the campus community — to reflect best practices, business needs and processes as they have evolved since that time.
