Recruiting Participants Ages 6-21 with Williams Syndrome!The UAB STARS Lab is conducting a research study to explore children's motivation to complete moderately challenging tasks and how this relates to academic achievement, language, cognition, and behavior in individuals with Williams syndrome.Who can participate?• Children aged 6-21 with a diagnosis of Williams syndrome (both males and females are welcome).What does the study involve?• 1-2 days of activities at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in Campbell Hall.• Your child will complete language and cognitive assessments, as well as game-like activities with a researcher.• Caregivers will complete questionnaires and participate in an interview about their child’s communication, behavior, and development.What will you receive?• $50 compensation for participation.• Reimbursement for travel expenses.• A score report with your child’s results.Learn more by contacting Dr. Caroline G.
