Richard O. Davis, M.D., a professor and OB/GYN in Maternal & Fetal Medicine, will be honored for 50 years of service to UAB during the 2024 UAB Service Awards.
Three others — Donna Andrews, program manager for the University Honors Program; James V. Jordan, instrument and control tech in Building Automation & Controls; and Johnny W. Scott, M.D., Ph.D., professor in the Radiology Chair Office — will be honored for 45 years of service.
In total, 320 employees with 20 or more years of service will be honored by the university during a come-and-go reception 2 p.m. April 10 in the Hill Student Center.
The UAB Service Awards honorees employees at each five-year milestone who have completed five or more years of service to UAB. Employees with five, 10 and 15 years of service in 2023 total 889.
