Tanik, Messina appointed to endowed positions

Tanik Messina sized

The University of Alabama System Board of Trustees appointed two faculty to endowed positions during its meeting Feb. 7.

Murat M. Tanik, Ph.D., appointed to the Wallace R. Bunn Chair in Telecommunications in the School of Engineering, joined the UAB faculty in 1998. He is a co-founder of the Society for Design and Process Science and has co-written six books.

Frank M. Messina, Ph.D., was named the third holder of the Alumni and Friends Professorship in Accounting in the Collat School of Business Department of Accounting and Finance.
