A new resource is available to help managers navigate the human and administrative responsibilities of being a UAB manager.
The Manager’s Toolkit provides resources and guidance for developing others, building a high-performing team and managing its success. The online guide, developed by UAB Learning & Development, provides quick and easy access to tools, policies, learning options and other resources for employees who manage direct reports.
“As a manager, your job is complicated,” said Organizational Development Specialist William Edwards. “You need to proactively coach others, manage employee time off and ensure all work that comes from your team is high-quality, meets standards and delivers results.”
The goal, Edwards said, is to help managers use their time more efficiently and better manage and develop others.
