Learn which academic programs are available to staff through UAB’s educational assistance benefit during the third session of Taking Charge of Your Career noon-2 p.m. Nov. 15 in Hill Student Center Ballroom A.
This resource fair will feature representatives from several UAB departments, including Organizational Learning and Development, the College of Arts and Science, Collat School of Business and the schools of Education, Nursing, Engineering, Public Health and Health Professions.
Employees who missed the first two sessions of this three-part series can still attend the resource fair. Just fill out a Career Map to discover educational paths to assist you with taking charge of careers that may have minimum education requirements.
“2020 is the year to have a better vision for your career. If the career you desire requires a certain level of education, start preparing for it now,” said Shantay Williams, chair of the UAB Staff Council staff development committee. “This fair was designed to assist you to soar above any educational hurdles that may be hindering you from taking charge of your career. The different colleges and schools will provide information and representatives for you to gain knowledge about programs offered here at UAB.”
