President Carol Garrison engaged university leaders on how to maintain the university's priorities, progress and achievements given state budget reductions, rising energy costs and increasing benefit costs.   Among the cost-savings plans that will be implemented Oct. 1 is elimination of printing and mailing payroll direct-deposit slips for monthly paid employees who may use Oracle Adminsystem to access this personal information online.

An e-mail will be sent on the date (pay day) that the payslip is available online that will contain a link to the system; the UAB Financial Affairs Web site includes a sample e-mail notification.

Biweekly assignments, due to accessibility concerns for some biweekly employees, are not included in this time.
