Faculty are invited to learn more about clickers during presentations Friday, Sept. 5 and participate in the final selection of the clicker to be recommended for use at UAB.
Two products were chosen for demonstration by a faculty committee in spring 2008: eInstruction and Turning Point.
Presentations are scheduled for eInstruction Basic in Heritage Hall Room 102 at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. and for eInstruction Advanced at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Presentations for Turning Point Basic are scheduled in Heritage Hall Room 104 at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. and for Turning Point Advanced at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. The presentations are 45 minutes.
Participating faculty will be asked to complete a brief, anonymous evaluation form. This input, plus technical and security evaluations will used by the committee to make a final selection. A recommendation and implementation plan will be submitted to the vice president for information technology and associate provost for undergraduate programs by Oct. 1, with implementation planned for spring 2009.
