UAB International Scholar & Student Services and the Japan-America Society of Alabama are co-sponsoring a seminar on Wednesday, Nov. 19 at 3:30 p.m., to be held in the Smolian International House. The topic of the seminar is Energy and the Environment:  Challenges and Opportunities for the U.S.-Japan.

Speakers include Kenji Goto, minister of Economy, Trade, Industry and Energy, Embassy of Japan; Atsushi Yamakoshi, director, Keidanren (Japanese Business Bureau); Masakazu Nonishi, senior representative of Panasonic Corp; and William Farrell, chair of the National Association of Japan America Societies.  This event is open to the pubic.
