The UAB School of Engineering was seeing stars after a Tuesday visit from one of Hollywood's biggest names.

Wesley Snipes, the star of big box office hits like U.S. Marshals and Blade, was in Birmingham to speak with city leaders about an upcoming movie that he plans to film in the Magic City.
 
Snipes made his way to the UAB Department of Mechanical Engineering after hearing about its new VisCube, a new multi-screen, immersive 3D display technology. Snipes was reportedly told about the technology in one of his meetings with local leaders and was interested enough to come to campus and experience the technology first hand.
 
Snipes took time to take pictures with engineering faculty and staff members after spending more than half an hour on campus.
