A memorial service in honor of Dale Benos, Ph.D., chair of the Department of Physiology and Biophysics and the University of Alabama Health Services Endowed Chair in Biomedical Research, is scheduled at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12 in the Margaret Cameron Spain Auditorium, 615 18th St. South. Benos died suddenly of natural causes Oct. 7.

Several invited speakers will share their memories of Benos' long and outstanding career at Duke, Harvard and UAB and his exceptional service for the American Physiological Society.  
 
A reception will follow in the Pittman Center for Advanced Medical Sciences, 1924 7th Ave. South.
