The Alys Stephens Center presents a new music education event for adults, “Make Your Groove Happen,” a one-day, interactive workshop with legendary bassist Jerry Jemmott.
This event for musicians 15 years and older, is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, at the Alys Stephens Center. Jemmott’s one-day interactive workshop is designed to encourage and unleash the inner musician in everyone. Open to musicians of any instrument, topics featured will include the components and elements of self-expression and improvisation, how to create and maintain a groove and how to study, learn and practice.
The cost of the workshop is $250 and includes Jemmott’s e-book, There’s Music in Everyone! Space is limited. Musicians are encouraged to bring their own instrument. Make reservations by calling 934-0862 or visit www.AlysStephens.org for more information.
