The 2018 Fall Expo showcased the research and service learning work produced by UAB undergraduates and other students in UAB fall research programs, fall REU programs, and other fall opportunities. It was held on December 5 and 6.

Keynote Speaker: Christina Glenn, M.S.
Christina Glenn, M.S., is a doctoral student at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in the Department of Biostatistics. She is the 2018 recipient of the Dr. Al M. Best Biostatistics Teaching Award. Christina is also a Center for the Integration of Research, Teaching, and Learning (CIRTL) Practitioner and her research interests include the impact of active learning strategies on learning outcomes for undergraduate and graduate students as well as the application of statistical methods to mental health data.
Holding teaching certifications in both mathematics and music, Christina has taught middle and high school mathematics in the Birmingham City School system. She is also a classically trained pianist and currently serves as the minister of music at her church.
In her spare time, Christina enjoys volunteering, tutoring, composing music, working on statistical projects, and spending quality time with family and friends. She is also an award-winning toastmaster and maintains a steady speaking schedule in the non-profit world.
