- Identify sources of information.
- Critically evaluating information sources.
- Locate and access appropriate databases such as: CINAHL, MEDLINE, and Cochrane Reviews.
- Utilize appropriate keywords, Boolean operators and limits to narrow search.
- Identify peer-reviewed journal articles to answer clinical questions.
- Distinguish between articles that will or will not answer clinical questions by considering the title, abstract, study site and intent of the study.
- Critically review the article and summarize to include the importance of the research question, research design, level of evidence, sampling technique, independent and dependent variables, outcomes and level of data.
- Create a bibliography using EndNote.
