Background resources give general, in-depth information and answer who, what, when, where and how questions. Two new biotechnology background resources at UAB Libraries are: 

• Biotechnology of Microbial Enzymes (2017)
• Calculations for Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, 3rd edition (2016)

In addition, to support our faculty UAB Libraries provides access to databases with reputable, up-to-date biotechnology protocols which are updated every 3 months. Two of these resources are:

• Current Protocols in Cell Biology
• Current Protocols in Molecular Biology
