The School of Health Professions offers the following early acceptance and fast-track programs. If you are currently a UAB student majoring in one of the following undergraduate health professions programs, please contact your advisor about applying for a fast-track or early acceptance program.

Early Acceptance to the Doctor of Physical Therapy
The early acceptance program for the Doctor of Physical Therapy is open to qualifying high school seniors who want to pursue a career as a physical therapist. The program guarantees them admission into the School of Health Professions' Doctor of Physical Therapy program following the completion of their undergraduate degree. BS in Biomedical Sciences to MS in Biotechnology
The Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences to Master of Science in Biotechnology fast-track program allows students interested in biomedical research and development careers and entrepreneurship to begin taking the advanced master level coursework early. The Master of Science in Biotechnology program was designed to help students take scientific ideas from the bench top to business and prepare students for careers in the biomedical industry. BS in Biomedical Sciences to MS in Clinical Laboratory Sciences
This fast-track program was developed for undergraduate students who want to pursue careers as a laboratory scientist. Qualifying students enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences program may begin the Master of Science in Clinical Laboratory Sciences program before completing their undergraduate degree. BS in Biomedical Sciences to MS in Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging Sciences
The Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences to Master of Science in Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging Sciences fast-track program is ideal for students who want to become certified as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist or Molecular Imaging Specialist in Alabama. The program is also an option for students pursuing medical school or another professional program, as it can serve as a specialized focus area or an alternative career option. An increase in the focus on value-based care has made experience in healthcare quality & safety an in-demand skill for leaders and other professionals in the healthcare industry. This program allows students to begin the specialized Master of Science in Healthcare Quality & Safety, while finishing the Bachelor of Science in Health Care Management program. This fast-track program is also ideal for students who wish to pursue professional programs in the healthcare field, including medical school.
