Mission
To design and implement high quality healthcare simulation and simulation-based assessment activities, research healthcare simulation and its effect on healthcare education, and improve patient care throughout the UAB community, including Children’s of Alabama.
Vision
Dramatically improve learning and patient outcomes at UAB and Children’s of Alabama and be an international leader in applying simulation to education & training, assessment, patient care delivery and research.
Goals
- Provide high quality healthcare simulation experiences to target populations
- Employ best practice simulation-based assessment activities for stakeholders
- Support scholarly activity in healthcare simulation
- Integrate simulation into quality improvement activities of relevant healthcare institutions
