Jill Deaver

During the months of April and May, the UAB Libraries partnered with OIPS to hold a simulation experience at the Volker Hall Simulation Sandbox and Quarterback Tower. Jill Deaver and Fenil Patel led an information-finding focus group activity for third and fourth year UAB medical students. The focus group activity was designed in the typical manner of simulation, including a prebrief session, the activity, and a debrief session.  

Deaver and Patel, along with their co-author Shilpa Register, will continue to gather more focus group data in the coming weeks. This data will inform the next phase of the library simulation project which will incorporate information seeking into high definition simulations.
