Introduction
UAB Student Affairs teamed up with students from across campus to launch a marketing campaign to educate Blazers on the importance of adopting safety protocols to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our campus community. As Blazers, it’s our responsibility to make sure that our campus is safe for each other, and we wanted to make sure that message is loud and clear.
After conducting a student survey with more than 600 responses, facilitating focus groups and working with various student teams and committees, “SHOW your Blazer spirit” was born.
SHOW stands for Staying six feet apart, Hand washing, Owning responsibility and Wearing a mask. When you are adopting these safety measures, you are SHOWing your Blazer spirit as well as helping to make UAB a safe place.
This campaign will be completely led BY STUDENTS and will also serve as the second phase of the University-wide #UABUnited campaign.

SHOW CONTESTS 💚
Show Selfie Contest
DATE: Feb.12 - March 31
RULES: Take a selfie at Various SHOW Banners across campus and post to Instagram with #showuab or DM photo to @uabhsc.
- A SHOW campaign display must be visible in your picture.
- Contest limited to current UAB students only. Faculty and staff are not eligible to enter contest.
- All Instagram posts must tag #showuab in order to be entered into the giveaway. Selfies can also be direct messaged to @uabhsc.
- Instagram stories do not count as a contest entry. The picture must be posted to your Instagram grid.
- Double your chances! If you are wearing a SHOW mask and/or T-shirt in your selfie, receive one additional entry per post.
- A maximum of five (5) entries per student throughout the duration of the contest allowed.
- The Hill Student Center will randomly draw one (1) student name on each of the following dates to award the Airpod Pros: March 12th, 19th, 26th. A grand prize will be awarded during an Instagram live on April 5th.
- Any photos submitted to the SHOW Selfie Contest may be used in future marketing.
PRIZE: Airpod Pro
- Airpod Pros will be given to 3 total winners randomly chosen, with one winner on each of the following dates: March 12th, 19th, and 26th.
- At the conclusion of the contest, during an Instagram live at 1pm CST on April 5th, 2021, a grand prize will be raffled off. Follow the Hill Student Center (@uabhsc) to see if you’ve won!
