Follow the Blazer Way on Feb. 6 through Feb. 10 as UAB invites Students, alumni, staff and faculty to attend Creed Week, a weeklong celebration of the Blazer Creed at the Hill Student Center. UAB will host several events and programs highlighting the tenets of the Blazer Creed: Honor and Integrity, Diversity, Innovation, Service and Scholarship.
John R. Jones, III, Ph.D., vice president for Student Affairs, said students should be “excited to learn about the creed through interactive events. They will have the opportunity to connect with their peers, guest speakers, and the entire UAB community. We invite faculty, staff, and alumni to also participate as we want every Blazer to live out the tenets of the creed.”
Brown also gave an example of how the events and tenets are intertwined saying, “the #IStandFor tabling event hosted by the Blazer Spirit Council, where all members of the UAB community may stop by to add a pin to the board under the creed tenet that resonates the most with them.” Each event will allow UAB students, alumni and faculty to connect with these principles in a way that will display what it means to adopt the Blazer Way.
Students can review the event details on Engage and the Campus Calendar and come out with their Engage Event Passes or OneCards to enter the events.
