UAB Campus Dining’s newest addition, Vocelli Pizza, opened its doors on Aug. 1, 2024, and it has already achieved a milestone—being named the best performing location nationwide. The restaurant's early success has been a welcomed experience for UAB students and those behind its operations.

Justin Marshall, the marketing director for UAB Campus Dining, expressed his excitement about the recognition. “While we expected students to love everything we offer, being named the number one Vocelli Pizza restaurant has been pleasant and surprising!” he said. Marshall attributes this success to Campus Dining’s commitment to quality. “We take great pride in every dish we prepare, and everyone here has welcomed us with open arms.”

Located at 1000 14th Street South, the new Vocelli Pizza restaurant is operated by thirty-five employees working hard to curb students’ appetites. While Marshall recommends trying the barbecue chicken pizza, students can’t seem to get enough of the cheesy garlic bread and alfredo pasta dishes, two of the most popular items on the menu.

Vocelli Pizza is open Sunday through Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to midnight, and Friday and Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 a.m.
