UAB Disability Support Services and Campus Recreation hosted its annual Wheelchair Flag Football event. The match took place on Jan. 23 on the center court of the Recreation Center. The goal of the event is to bring about awareness and a better appreciation of the skill it takes to play wheelchair football.

The Lakeshore Foundation Wheelchair Flag football team went against Team UAB, which was comprised of Student Affairs professionals and students. The game was 7 versus 7, and the Foundation demolished UAB with a win of 55 to 9. Vice President John Jones was the head coach and Assistant Vice President Jake Baggott was the assistant. Prizes were awarded to the two fans who most closely predicted the score.
